10 Things To Do this Weekend: October 26th-28th
This is the last weekend before Halloween (which is next Wednesday). There are a lot of Halloween themed activities. We also have activities for the dogs this weekend. We have comedy, food, toys, birds of prey, Paula Adbul, and a chance to get rid of any old prescriptions you might have.
Some activities include the kids, while others are more for the adults.

It’s that time of year again. Time to have things jump out at you and scare you! There are several haunted locations for you to enjoy this year. This is the last weekend before Halloween (which is Wednesday). That means this is the final weekend for a lot of these events. We have haunted malls and parks, corn mazes, ghost tours, trails of terror and more. Check out the list to find a place to go and visit.

Brewery Vivant presents Fork Fest

Cost: $45.00 in advance, $55 at the door, special pricing for children
It will be an evening of local food and drink at the 8th annual Fork Fest, presented by Brewery Vivant. Stroll from booth to booth and try samples from dozens of West Michigan's finest restaurants, farms, grocers, bakeries, breweries, and more. All samples and one drink ticket are included in the price of admission and a cash bar will be available.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.2 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. There are several drop off locations in the west Michigan area. 2018 Corgis In the Park

Cost: Donation to Paws With A Cause
2018 Corgis in the Park is brought to you by Chow Hound. This is Michigan's largest gathering of corgis and corgi lovers with a goal of raising money and awareness for Paws with a Cause. PWAC raises, trains and provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Park Band Shell is located the north end of the park. There will be fenced-in play time for the dogs, food trucks and a corgi Halloween costume contest which provides a few hours of fun along the Grand River. We ask for a donation of any amount that you're comfortable with at the event.

TOYS! Exhibit

Cost: Included with regular general museum admission
TOYS! is an interactive, multi-generation exhibition of toys and games to rekindle childhood memories and spark the creation of new ones. This GRPM original exhibit features toys and games from the Museum’s Collections and on loan from the community, allowing visitors to imagine, compete and create, while going on a journey of toys through generations. The exhibit will even include a 1980s style arcade!

Capturing the magic of the elusive owl on camera can be difficult. This unique opportunity allows photographers of all abilities to get up close shots of Blandford's resident birds of prey during the day. Pre-registration is required. This program is for adults only.
