He may be a 73-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, but Neil Diamond isn't showing any signs of slowing down any time soon.

Diamond is releasing a new album titled "Melody Road" on Oct. 21 and is going on tour next year, kicking off in Allentown, Pa., on Feb. 27 and ending up in Denver on May 31 -- with a March 20 performance at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills.

"Melody Road" marks his first original studio release in six years and first since he signed with Capitol Records.

The album is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, with buyers getting a code providing early access to purchase concert tickets for the 2015 tour. Concert tour tickets can be pre-ordered at Ticketmaster, with all pre-sale purchases including a "Melody Road" CD.

The Brooklyn, N.Y., native began his songwriting and performing career in the 1960s.

In 1966, he wrote The Monkees’ smash hit “I’m A Believer." As a singer, he has seen success with hits like “Cherry, Cherry,” “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon," "Holly Holy," "I Am ... I Said, "Song Sung Blue," "Kentucky Woman" and "Cracklin' Rosie" in addition to his iconic 1969 hit “Sweet Caroline." In 1978, he sang with Barbara Streisand on the classic duet “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers."

All of those are on Diamond's "Neil Diamond's All-Time Greatest Hits," a 23-track collection released July 8 on Capitol Records/UMe.

He has charted 37 top 40 singles and 16 top 10 albums in the U.S. His most recent studio release, 2008's "Home Before Dark," debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. on the Billboard Top Albums chart.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 and is also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Concert tour tickets can be pre-ordered at Ticketmaster.
