Meteorologists the world over LOVE to forewarn us about winters filled with massive snowfall amounts. The truth is out here. It's in the Farmer's Almanac.

I hate all the dire weather warnings that pop up all over the internet in the weeks leading up to winter. It's only good if you're willing to come back and apologize for getting us all worked up when you're wrong. But I have never seen THAT happen.

The Farmer's Almanac has been predicting weather for farmer's since 1792, and they do apologize if they're wrong. So let's see what they have to say about this winter.

Winter will be warmer and rainier than normal, with near-normal snowfall. The coldest periods will be in mid- and late December, early and late January, and early February. The snowiest periods will be in early December, early and late January, early February, and mid-March.
