A Preview of the Super Bowl Commercials
Coming up on Sunday, February 5th will be Super Bowl LI (that's 51 in Roman Numerals!). Of course there is plenty of hype about the match-up between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. (Game time is 6:30 pm on Fox.) But people are also talking about what commercials they may see during the game.
Come Monday morning, the game will be over but the topic of discussion around the office will be "what was your favorite commercial?". This year advertisers will spend a whopping $5 million for a 30 second ad. If you do the math, that comes out to $166,667 per second!
It used to be a big secret as to just what the commercials would be. Now days advertisers realize they can get more "bang for their buck" if the commercials are either released in their entirety, or if they give us a preview of what to expect. Many of the commercials can already be found online for your viewing pleasure.
Esquire magazine has put together some of the commercials that have already been released. You can click here to see the Super Bowl commercial line-up on their website.
And a website called Super Bowl Commercials 2017 has not only put together many of the new commercials, but they have gone back and looked at some of the classic commercials from the past. Do you remember Wendy's "Where's the Beef?" commercial with Clara Peller...it's on their website. Click here to view the commercials on their website.
As more and more commercials become available I'm sure there will be many places to find them. Come Monday morning, there will be several sites, including usatoday.com, that will have the commercials listed and usually ranked by how viewers liked the ads.
Now, let's spend the next hour watching commercials!!
