A Rare View From The Top Of Michigan’s Longest Waterfall [Video]
Bridal Veil Falls cascades 140 feet from the creek at the top to the waters of Lake Superior below. Most people know it from the famous boat excursion out of Munising, or from kayaking beneath it. But this guy got a hard earned shot from the top.
It's a tough, but not impossible sojourn from where the creek crosses the North Country Trail to the top of the Pictured Rocks that it spills down, but rare is the man who will venture down the mile and half of bushwack to get the shot.
That man is John McCormick of Michigan Nut Photography, who posted this video from the top of Bridal Veil Falls to his Facebook page earlier this week.
But it wasn't the first video to be posted from the top of the falls. It's actually climbable in the dead of winter when it freezes solid. Ohioan Greg McNichols ventured up there in February and shot this video.
Either season, it's always fun to go chasing waterfalls in Michigan!
