I'd imagine that flying is stressful enough right now... without punches being thrown and the plane having to make an emergency stop.

Click on Detroit reports that a bloody brawl broke out on a packed Spirit Airlines flight last Thursday from L.A. to Detroit.

Apparently the fight started when a passenger became upset that others were being loud while he was trying to sleep. Soon, punches were flying.

A Macomb County woman onboard told Click on Detroit that passengers asked Spirit employees to intervene:

“'Everyone was like, ‘Why aren’t you doing anything?’ They were like, ‘We don’t get paid enough to deal with this,’”

The flight made an emergency stop in Des Moines, Iowa. The Macomb County woman says those involved in the flight changed out of their bloody clothes, so as not to be identified, and she was shocked when they were let back on the plane.

According to Click on Detroit, local police said they didn't have jurisdiction to arrest anyone.

The female passenger says Spirit did not deboard the plane or clean up after the fight:

“They didn’t clean the blood. Sat there for two hours, everyone sucking everyone’s coronavirus.”

She says she plans to self-quarantine and get tested. Spirit Airlines did end up refunding her.
