Bob Seger To Appear At Pine Knob For The First Time In 21 Years
Okay, so maybe they call it DTE Energy Theater now, but it will always be Pine Knob to me.
It just seems weird that it's been THAT long since Seger popped up at the popular outdoor venue.
Seger and the Silver Band made it official that they will play the storied shed on September 9 of this year, their first appearance there since July of 1996.
Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com on May 20 at 10am, with pre-sale for members of Beger's Bullet Club getting first crack at them on May 16. You can sign up for the Bullet Club at bobseger.com.
Unlike fellow Michigan rocker Kid Rock did last summer, it won't be a multiple night affair, as the show is being billed as 'one night only'.
Seger teased the big announcement by posting a photo of a past DTE gig on his web site with the tag line 'starting to feel nostalgic' pasted across it. That same photo remains with the tag changed to 'one night only at Pine Knob'. (See, even Bob refuses to call it DTE)
