Ask just about anyone from Michigan and it's likely they've traveled at some point to Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. The sprawling store dedicated to the Christmas holiday year round is one of several attractions that draw tourists to the kitchy village of Frankenmuth.

And Bronner's advertises the store far and wide. Just how far and wide may come as a real surprise to you.

That billboard shown above is on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. And if that seems like a long way away, that's barely scratching the surface of how far Bronner's travels.

The subject came up recently on Reddit about Bronner's billboards and it's likely Florida that takes the prize for greatest distance.

With Bronner's located a short distance from Interstate 75, it certainly makes logical sense to advertise the store along the route, but from well over 1000 miles away, that's where it may be surprising.

One commentor recalled a Bronner's billboard along 75 in Siesta Key.

There's another documented billboard on 75 in Northern Florida near Lake City. That's another wise location as Interstates 10 and 75 meet in Lake City so the billboard is likely placed to pick up travelers from I-10

Bronner's themselves acknowledges their billboards-far-and-wide strategy. Several years ago they shared an image on Facebook of a newly erected billboard in North Webster, Indiana. A curious placement as the town is not along a particularly major highway nor do the roads leaving there easily connect with highways north to Frankenmuth.

On the Facebook thread, the company asked where fans recalled seeing other Bronner's billboards with one recalling advertising along I-75 near the Tampa airport and another further north on 75 near Ocala.

A 2013 MLive story dug in on Bronner's Billboard strategy:

If the company has a strategy for billboard locations, it is initially incomprehensible. Signs are generally far from Frankenmuth and, like the one in Concord, sometimes not even visible to motorists traveling in the right direction.

Some marketing authorities say Bronner's has as many as 80 billboards. Bronner's itself says its billboards "number more than 60 and are located in seven states."

So no matter where you travel, never be surprised should you see a familiar enticement to visit Michigan's famed Bronner's
