Canada-Funded Anti-Tariff Billboards Appear in Michigan for the First Time
The government of Canada is funding a billboard campaign designed to influence Americans to not support any threatened tariffs by the government of the United State being imposed on Canada.
The billboard campaign is set to target states that do the most trade with Canada and voted for Donald Trump in 2024.

The first of these billboards have now appeared in Michigan. They have been spotted along US 131 near Grand Rapids. The billboards are electronic, so they rotate with other advertisers rather than a static paper billboard.
The billboards carry messages such as:
Tariffs Are a Tax on Hard Working Americans
Tariffs Are a Tax at the Gas Pump
Tariffs Are a Tax on your Grocery Bill
See images of the boards here.
Each of the boards carry a small message stating they're paid for by the government of Canada as well as the government's logo in the lower righthand corner.

The billboards have also popped up and garnered attention from news outlets in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
Due to the increasing war of words and on trade between the two neighbors, some in Canada who live closest to the American border have begun to fear and invasion are are prepping bug out plans while those near Sault Ste Marie tell tales of emergency needs to cross the border for veterinary care not readily available in Ontario.
