Does it seem a little bit hazy to anyone today?  If so, it's because almost the entire state of Michigan is covered in smoke from a wildfire in Alberta, Canada.

The wildfire has destroyed over 700,000 acres of land and is producing an extraordinary amount of smoke that is being blown over the northern United States.

Detroit's National Weather Service branch released a satellite photo of the smoke and it shows that nearly the entire state is covered.  The smoke is high in the atmosphere and will not have any major impact on Michiganders.

The smoke is expected to linger throughout most of the day and eventually clear out in the coming days.
