The Mackinac Bridge Authority has announced that they will stop accepting cash transactions starting starting March 21 to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

The cash ban will be in effect until further notice, and customers are encouraged to pay with a credit or debit card or a MacPass.

When paying with a card, the toll collector will put the credit card reading device out of the window so that the driver can insert their card.

The MBA previously suspended their driver assistance program to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
