Cat Saves Grand Rapids Family From House Fire [Video]
A house cat was the difference in getting a local family out of their burning house Thursday morning.
Let's be clear, cats are still aloof animals that really don't care about you. They do, however, care about getting fed, and if the person who feeds them is in danger, well, a cat has to do what it has to do.
Especially when there's no working smoke detectors in the house.
Our news partner, FOX-17 is reporting that a small cat is responsible for evacuating a Northeast home.
The cat, who remains anonymous and refuses to talk to the press, alerted the people who take care of, who were then able to get out of the house at 700 Coit Avenue NE early Thursday morning.
For his efforts, I hope the cat got a treat.
