Grand Rapids Indoor Playground Permanently Closing
After a decade in business, a Grand Rapids indoor play facility for kids is shutting down for good.
Catch Air, a recreation center for children 10 and under, announced the news of the closure to Facebook, saying,
This decision was incredibly difficult to make, but the time has come when the reward of owning this amazing business no longer outweighs the sacrifice of our time together as a family.
Catch Air's last day in business at 2978 28th St SE will be Sunday, September 4th, 10am-5pm.
The owners share,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us over the past 10 years. It has been our great pleasure to serve this community and we will always cherish those special memories. We would also like to thank all of our staff, who allowed us to operate this business in a fun and safe manner. As we say farewell, we wish you all great health, happiness and many smiles in the future.
Those who have visited Catch Air are sharing their sadness upon hearing the news and their appreciation for the play facility on Facebook,

My son, Devin, who has autism loved Catch Air. He is now 14 yrs. old & when we ride pass he always points to his favorite place. Thanks for providing a space for safe fun.
Mary writes,
You have run a Wonderful Family establishment. My children have loved it and had a blast everytime we go. Going to Catch Air was one thing they really missed during the pandemic and were so delighted to be able to return to!
Cassandra shares,
Heartbroken is the only word I have to describe it. So few places like this left. Thank you for all you've done.
The 28th Street location is the only Catch Air in Michigan. There are 10 more locations in Georgia, Texas, and New Jersey.
