Christmas Store for Grand Rapids Homeless Needs Donations
Degage Ministries and Mel Trotter Ministries have announced a special Christmas store to give homeless patrons an opportunity to purchase gifts for their families at a low cost and in a dignified manner.
The items will be available for patrons to buy at discounted prices. Some use vouchers from Degage and Mel Trotter to pay for items. Vouchers are earned from doing jobs for the missions.
All gifts at the store come from donations to Degage and Mel Trotter. More donations are needed. Donating is easy through a wish list at Amazon.
The one-day event is on Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 200 Division Avenue South.
This is the third year the two organizations have opened a Christmas store together.
