Detroit Food Truck Rally May Set World Record
The River Days Festival next weekend, June 21-23, will feature a food truck rally that is looking to get into the Guinness Book Of World Records.
The Detroit River Days Festival will be held at West Riverfront Park and will feature many different events including four stages of live music, including performances from the “King of Motown,” Smokey Robinson and R&B group Mary Jane Girls, zip lines, and family entertainment.
But the one thing that they're shooting for is a new World Record for the most food trucks in a single location.
The River Days Festival has made a push to set the record, which is currently 120 food trucks, held by the Tampa Food Truck Rally at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
The World's Largest Food Truck Rally has invited over 120 food trucks from all over the region in an effort to obliterate the old record. The hundreds of trucks will help feed the expected 150,000 people who will attend the event.
The rally will feature Steve's World Of Food, which is the largest food truck in the world. Trucks from as far away as Missouri will be attending, hoping to set the record.
