Anyone who has gone to a sporting event or concert knows the joke when it comes to parking. The fee to park may be as much as a ticket into the game.

News reports began to trickle out in the days leading up to the game that some lots near Ford Field in downtown Detroit where planning to charge $1000 to park.
The game is already slated to be some of the priciest tickets ever to see a playoff game with prices well above $1000. So should parking be on par with that?
In a move the city of Detroit labeled 'price gouging,' one lot owner is alleged to have raised prices to that astronomic level. Of course, the best option may be public transportation. The Detroit People Mover, a currently free-to-ride monorail that loops around downtown has extended their hours of service until late night Saturday.
The QLine is offering $5 parking at Wayne State University with a ride to downtown for the game.
