Crying babies in a restaurant can be tough. You either have sympathy for the parents or you think mom and dad have to whisk the child away in order not to ruin everyone else's meal.

That debate came to a head this weekend in Portland, Maine when the owner of Marcy's Diner yelled at a crying two-year-old because her parents didn't try to quiet her down.

Diner owner Darla Neugebauer then got into a battle of words with the girl's parents over social media, which quickly spread and caused people to take sides.

Neugebauer isn't exactly shying away from her actions, saying, "Sorry isn't the right word. I might have used poor judgement. I wouldn't say I was sorry, because it stopped. When things stop, it's usually a good thing."

The girl's mother, Tara Carson, said, "I felt helpless as a mom that, you know, I couldn't do anything to help her, because I can't explain why there's crazy people in this world that behave like that."

So, where do you stand on the matter? Was the owner wrong to yell at the child or is a screaming child just something you should accept in a restaurant?
