Financially Stressed? The Kent County Relief Fund May Help
These are strange times we've been battling through, and I know some of you have felt the pain more than others. The Kent County Relief Fund maybe able to throw you a life line.
Local donors and non-profit started the fund to help ease the pain felt by furloughed and laid off workers and small business owners who have felt the brunt of the 'Stay At Home' mandate.
Their qualifying eligibility is pretty straight forward, you are eligible for a grant if you:
- Live or work in Kent County, Michigan, and 18 years of age or older
- Laid off or have experienced at least a 50 percent reduction in work hours since March 1, 2020
- Household income was less than or equal to $50,000 per year
So far over $1.3 million in aid has been granted. More information at kentcountyrelief.com.
