The Founders website sums it up best...

"It’s been a long three months and we’ve missed you but we’re elated to announce that we are reopening our Grand Rapids and Detroit taprooms on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 am!"

Founders closed their Detroit and Grand Rapids taprooms on March 13th -- the day Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed her Executive Order banning gatherings of more than 250 people in response to the coronavirus.

The taprooms will be open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am–9 pm and they will be limited to 50% capacity to adhere to the state guidelines. All visitors must wear masks at all times unless seated. Customers must also maintain a distance of six feet from other guests and staff.

There are other seating guidelines as well:

  • All customers must be seated by a greeter. This will be done on a first come, first serve basis that will be managed via the Waitlist app. You will be texted when your table is ready.
  • Groups are limited to 10 people maximum at this time.
  • The tables have been rearranged and aisles have been widened. The number of bar stools has been reduced and spread out. (All bar stools will be removed from the Brassworks Bar.)
  • Waiting will not permitted inside the taprooms. You will have to wait out front or in your vehicle until you receive the text informing you that your table is ready.

Founders will be making additional safety and sanitation measures as well.

For additional information, check out Founders webpage that lists all the re-opening guidelines.
