GR Astronaut Takes Photo Of Michigan From Space

Christina Koch was born in Grand Rapids, and while she was raised in North Carolina, home will always be the mitten.

Koch, currently living aboard the International Space Station, took a night photo of the lit up mitten of the Lower Peninsula during a pass of the United States.

She tweeted the photo with the caption, 'The mitten waves back, even at night.'
