Free Helmets, Ice Cream at Grand Rapids Griffins ‘Bike Rodeo’ for Kids This Saturday
The Grand Rapids Griffins hockey team is set to host its first ever bike rodeo, with giveaways for kids, bike safety checks, free ice cream and more.

Grand Rapids Griffins First Ever Bike Rodeo is July 30, 2022
The inaugural Grand Rapids Griffins Bike Rodeo is this Saturday, July 30, 11a.m. to 1p.m. in the Area 2 Parking lot behind Van Andel Arena (on Oakes St. SW). It's part of the Griffins' Put a Lid on It! program.
The Bike Rodeo is a free event for kids age 10 and under.
Parking is free for families in the Area 2 lot. You're invited to bring your bikes or ride them to the event.
What to Expect at Grand Rapids Griffins Bike Rodeo
Kids will get to learn and practice bike-handling skills and safety through fun stations staffed by the Kent County Sheriff's office and other local police. They'll be offering bike safety checks too.
The Griffins will be giving away free helmets and T-shirts while supplies last! They do say that a parent or guardian must be present for a child receive a giveaway. Plus, get free ice cream from Kilwins!
Kids can also sign up to win a new bike!

Kids can play fun games too and also check the Grand Rapids Public Library's mobile library.
