Grand Rapids Is Getting A New Place To Buy Old Things
We love nostalgia in today's society. Between today's fashion (which feels like the worst part of the 90's came back to haunt us) and a million movie throw backs, it's easy to see we miss the old days.
Or, maybe we're all tired of going to the store and finding aisle after aisle of the same things that all of our neighbors have.
No matter the reason we love vintage items, Grand Rapids is getting a new place to hunt for the best deals on gently loved and older items.
You may be aware of Wally's Treasures, which already exists on 28th Street. They're one of the highest rated Antique Malls in West Michigan, priding themselves with their selection of Antiques, Collectibles, & "uniques". And they have a lot to brag about, having 3 floors full of Treasures to show off if you stop in to see them.
And if you're like me, you probably have a few specific items you're always hunting for. I'm usually hunting for vintage action figures and collectable items from comics and sci-fi. My boyfriend however always has his eyes on strange lamps and furniture.
Good news for people who love bargains, Wally's Treasures is now expanding their Kingdom with Wally's Castle which is opening Friday, April 1st. (No joke!)
This new space located in Wyoming will feature 100 booth spaces for vendors of varying types. So far, we're seeing everything from collectable toys to furniture and more.
They'll be located at 3637 Clyde Park Ave in Wyoming, only a few miles away from Wally's Treasures.
If you want to check out their collection first - they'll be opening the doors on at 11am Friday, and you can follow their updates (including sneak peeks of vendors) on their facebook page.
