Daniel Radcliffe is no stranger to Broadway, and now his alter-ego will take his turn on stage in New York City's famed theater district. J.K. Rowling’Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two will open April 22, 2018 at the Lyric Theater in Manhattan.

The play has seen great success in London's West End. According to Time Out New YorkThe Cursed Child won at the Olivier Awards for best new play. Its actors also won awards for their performances. The Cursed Child is set 20 years after the original Potter world and involves the next generation of wizards.

Is there a chance this latest trip into Harry's magical realm could entice Radcliffe back into the role that made him famous? Just last year, the actor shared his thoughts about it with Radio Times, saying, "It would depend on the script. The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there! So I am saying, ‘No,’ for now but leaving room to backtrack in the future."

Sounds like there could be hope, Hogwarts fans!
