There's a reason that say, "Touch 'em all."

Alabama softball player Bailey Hemphill drilled her seventh home run of the season during Monday's contest against SEC foe Ole Miss. It was part of back-to-back blasts that should've tied things up, except for one small, but very important, detail Hemphill overlooked: she never touched home plate, enabling the Rebels to take the new ball given to them by the umpire and step on it, giving them the improbable out and erasing Hemphill's run.

Hemphill's blunder proved crucial, as the Tide wound up dropping the game, 5-4.

This may be the baseball equivalent of shooting into your goal and while it's easy to blast Hemphill for what happened, let's also make sure to remember the heads-up play by Ole Miss.
