“I Need Help” Hand Signal Gone Viral On TikTok Could Save Your Life
If you think that the App TikTok is nothing but half-naked women dancing or people doing silly lip syncs you might want to think again.
A video posted on TikTok is being credited with saving a young 16-year-old girl's life after she was abducted by a man in North Carolina.
The 16-year-old girl was reported missing by her parents to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky on Tuesday, November 2nd.
A few days later on Thursday, November 4th an alert motorist recognized the teen's hand signal for help and called 911.
The woman followed the vehicle while police caught up with them and eventually the police pulled the vehicle over and ended up saving the young girl.
Police arrested 61-year-old James Herbert Brick, of Cherokee, North Carolina, and charged him with unlawful imprisonment and possession of a matter of sex performance by a minor (over 12 but under 18).
