An 18-year-old Indian woman is going through an exciting time in her life. She's getting married!

And while traditions in India may be a bit different than here in the U.S., it's still a pretty big deal. Except for one minor difference: She's marrying a dog.

Her family and fellow villagers believe that Mangli Munda has been cursed and has an evil spell cast upon her.

So, by marrying a dog, they believe the evil will be passed along to the dog, allowing her to live a happy, evil-free life and find a new man. They swear by it, claiming that it has worked for others in her situation. Riiiiight.
