Authentic Indian Restaurant in Grand Rapids Permanently Closes
Grand Rapids has said goodbye to another restaurant. An eatery serving authentic Indian cuisine has closed its doors for good.

Deluxe Restaurant and Bar is located at 6597 Division Ave. South in Grand Rapids. Earlier this week, its owners shared news that it was shutting down to social media.
In attempting to find a website for the restaurant, I came across its ratings - which are high!

With 195 reviews on Google, Deluxe Restaurant is ranked at 4.8 out of 5 stars. Customers say things like "best Indian food I've had in Grand Rapids" and "the food is simply scrumptious and the service impeccable." Deluxe Restaurant has 4.7 stars on Door Dash and 5 stars on Facebook.
Deluxe Restaurant served steamed or fried dumplings called Momo, in addition to Chow Mein, and Sekuwa, a traditional Nepalese dish of marinated, skewered meat. The menu also included a variety of Indian Breads, Tandoori items, Lamb and Shrimp dishes, platters, vegetarian options, and fried rice items.
A notice of permanent closure was shared to Facebook, saying,
"After many wonderful years of serving our community, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of Deluxe Restaurant & Bar, and Indian Culinary Experience... We want to extend our deepest gratitude for your loyalty and support throughout our journey... Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives. We home the flavors and memories we have shared together will live on."
