New Grand Rapids Area Hot Dog Spot Serving Wild Foot-Longs

National Hot Dog Day is coming up July 16, and there's a new spot in town to celebrate—with a fantastic foot-long!

There are lots of places to grab great franks in Grand Rapids. Perhaps the most famous being Yesterdog, which was recently declared Michigan's top cult-favorite restaurant.

There's also One Stop Coney and Mad Dogz. A hot dog joint many people miss is Jonny B'z. Well, it did make a comeback for one night only recently, so maybe there is hope for more pop up events!

Footies Hot Dog Now Open in Wyoming

The newest restaurant to grab a hot dog in town is Footies Hot Dog. First opening in early April, it's located at 2735 Park Ave. SW in Wyoming.

Load up your foot long hot dog with all sorts of toppings like cheese, chili, bacon, onion, pickles, jalapeños, pineapple, sweet peppers—even spaghetti!

What’s on the Menu at Footie’s?

According to a post on the EatGR Facebook page, Footies serves all-beef hot dogs.

Door Dash lists the eateries most popular dogs:

Angry Cowboy: Chili, hot cheese, fried onions, jalapeño
Sloppy Floppy Joe: Sloppy joe sauce with diced onions
Spaghetti Dog: Tomato meat sauce, spaghetti, crumbled bacon, mozzarella

Another interesting menu item that caught my eye is the 12 Gauge with crushed pineapple, strips of pork, remoulade, and BBQ sauce. My first order though will be the Salty Dog with whole strips of bacon, crispy fried onions, and white BBQ sauce—yum!

They also offer sides like pasta salad and potato salad, plus drinks including cans of pop, bottled water, and Red Bull to keep your energy up after tackling a loaded foot-long!

Footie's Hours

Footies is open seven days a week: Monday through Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11:30a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 8p.m.
