Take a Magical Walk Through an Illuminated Forest at Grand Rapids Glow Garden

Fall is officially here and there's so much to see and do in Grand Rapids in celebration of the season!

Starting soon you'll be able to take a magical stroll through an illuminated garden filled with hand-carved pumpkins.

A place that brings butterflies, artwork, music, and plants of all kinds to Grand Rapids is helping us ring in Autumn! Not only is "Mums at Meijer Gardens" back for the 26th year, but also fun fall events!

At "Autumn Nights" on Tuesdays in October, Frederik Meijer Gardens is staying open late.

Explore the Glow Garden at the Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden, an illuminated forest of majestic trees and mystical meadow grasses and logs.

You'll see incredible hand-etched pumpkins by local artist Alynn Guerra, of Red Hydrant Press. Plus carved pumpkins from artists Rebecca Rodriguez, of Foiled Again Press, and Lisa Lin Olsen. The Glow Garden runs from 5p.m. to 8:30 pm.

At Michigan's Farm Garden there will be food trucks, pumpkin carving demonstrations, music, a vibrant harvest of heirloom vegetables, herbs, gourds, and gigantic pumpkins! Food truck will be there until 8p.m.

Bring the kiddos to search for scarecrows in the Lena Meijer Children's Garden and take in the sights at the DeVos Van Andel Piazza.

You can also enjoy music in the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater. There will be seasonal snacks, adult beverages, and hot cider available for purchase. Music runs 6p.m. to 8p.m. on the below dates:

• October 22 - Whorled
• October 29 - Full Cord
