Where is The Telway Hamburger System?

The Telway Hamburger System is located in Detroit, Michigan, at 6820 Michigan Avenue. Telway has been making old-school sliders since 1944 and they are not just known for their burgers but also their coffee and other great menu options.

There are two Telway locations, the one I mentioned above, and the other in Madison Heights. The great thing about Telway is they are always open 24 hours a day 7 days a week - even on Christmas.

Why is The Telway Hamburger System So Popular?

Years ago. I used to work at a carpet and tile warehouse in Birmingham, Michigan, and would deliver materials to buildings all over the city of Detroit which also brought me near some of the most famous eateries in the city. Kirby, the warehouse manager would always have me bring him a coffee from Telway's if he knew I was delivering in the area. Plus, he knew if I was in the area I would be having lunch there. There were two things I loved about the Telway - one was their famous sliders, and the other was how cheap the prices were.

If you plan on saddling up for a of couple burgers, you better bring some cash because The Telway is a cash-only establishment.  Prices have changed a little over the years, but Telway's is still the biggest bang for the buck in the Motor City.
