Foreigner has had several members throughout the bands career. Founder and Guitarist Mick Jones is the sole remaining member but even he only plays certain shows at this time.

Foreigner will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year. A band that should have been in many years ago especially with as many hit songs the band has cranked out over their career.  Songs like Feels Like the First Time, Cold as Ice, Hot Blooded, Double Vision, Dirty Whie Boy, Head Games, Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Juke Box Hero, and many more. There is one song they like to invite an area choir to join them on stage in each town they perform in and that is I Want to Know What Love Is since they used a choir to help record vocals on the song. 979 GRD ran a contest with several choirs in the area that entered but only one could join Foreigner on stage at Van Andel Arena on June 11, 2024.

Hudsonville High School choir the Varsity Singers won the contest to sing with Foreigner. Hudsonville had nearly 8,000 votes from classmates, families, and friends in the community vote for their performance. It was great team effort with the Varisty Voices, their choir director Deborah Andre, and the community.

Not only did the choir do a great job with their audition but whoever put their video together also did a great job. All the kids involed were in 9th through 12th grade and sang like pro's.

I was walking around the concourse after John Waite opened the show and I ran into the choir director's husband who was wearing this shirt the choir had made for all the singers that included their names and thought this was special and a nice touch.

I captured their performance with Foreigner on the song I Want to Know What Love Is. This is a moment in these kids' lives that they, their school, and their families will never forget. Singing in a packed house at Van Andel Arena with Foreigner who are music legends and heading to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is amazing!
