When Do Grand Rapids Ice Cream Shops Open in 2025?

Spring is on the way (thank goodness!) and that means West Michigan's seasonal ice cream stands are starting to open up.

Sure, you can always grab a pint of ice cream from the grocery store, but there's something special about getting a scoop from your favorite shop in the spring and summertime!

In West Michigan, it's a sure sign that summer is on the way! Growing up in South Haven, it was always SUPER exciting to head to Sherman's Dairy for the first time each year - and honestly every time after that, all summer long. It was sad for my family and I to say goodbye to Sherman's Dairy this past fall... Thankfully, in my neighborhood in Alger Heights, Grand Rapids, I've got two great ice cream spots nearby: Heights Cream and Woody's Cone Stop!
