Polish Hall Pulls Out Of Grand Rapids Pulaski Days
A Polish hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has decided not to participate in Pulaski Days in 2025, after being a part of the event for 52 years.
What is Pulaski Days?

The holiday commemorates Kazimierz Pulaski, a Polish-born cavalry officer who served in the American Revolutionary War. Pulaski is honored for his military contributions to the U.S. military and is known as "the father of the American cavalry."
Several Polish communities around the country celebrate "Pulaski Day" on the first Monday of March.
Several Polish halls in Grand Rapids participate in Pulaski Days, offering homemade dishes such as kielbasa, pierogi, gołąbki, kapusta, beer, and more. One of the halls that has participated in the holiday for 52 years will not be officially participating in the event in 2025.

Polish Hall Bows Out of Pulaski Days After 52 Years
According to Fox 17, Jackson Street Hall in Grand Rapids has announced that it will not officially participate in the 2025 Pulaski Days celebrations. Members of Jackson Street Hall voted to withdraw from the Pulaski Day Committee. The members cited a lack of tangible benefits in being part of the Community of Polish Halls.
Jackson Street Hall, formerly known as the Polish National Aid Society, is not walking away from Pulaski Days, only from the committee. Vice President Mike Kozal said, "We'll still have our homemade kielbasa, our homemade golabki, pierogis, our signature Kapusta."
Although Jackson Street Hall is not an official participant recognized by the Pulaski Day Committee, its doors will still be open to the public for celebrations during Pulaski Days
