Little Girl Writes Heartwarming Letter to Kent County Animal Shelter
Well, this is the good news I needed to hear right now! It's so awesome to remember that even though sometimes everything seems terrible, there's still so much love and kindness out there in the world.
The Kent County Animal Shelter does so much for our community and recently they got a very sweet gift.

Running a lemonade stand is one way kids can earn a few bucks each summer. Maybe they're saving up for a new toy or a cool outfit they want for back-to-school. Well, one little gal in West Michigan had something else in mind for her lemonade stand cash.
The Kent County Animal Shelter shared a letter they received from a little girl named Abby. Now Abby didn't say how old she is, but my best guess is around seven or eight.
Abby writes that over the summer, she set up a lemonade stand and made a little over $80. Her parents agreed to match it, and the family donated about $160 to the Kent County Animal Shelter.
How wonderful!
Abby ends her letter by hoping that maybe the shelter will be able to use some of the money for toys for the cats, dogs, and other animals in their care.
The Kent County Animal Shelter writes of the message from Abby,
We received a special donation today. This wonderful little girl sold lemonade to raise money for the shelter. Thank you to Abby and her family for this gift!
