According to the NY Times, Noori Pocha in Clawson, Mich., is among the 50 best restaurants in the U.S.
Quite the honor for a fairly new restaurant! It first opened at 1 S. Main Street downtown Clawson in August of 2023. Owners describe it as the first and only Korean gastropub in the state.
On the menu you'll find authentic Korean dishes like Garlic Dumplings, Bulgogi (thinly sliced, marinated, stir-fried meat), Kimchi Fried Rice, Jokbal (braised pork), Buldak (spicy chicken), and Corn Cheese.

New York Times writer Sara Bonisteel writes,
Walk through the door of Noori Pocha, and you’ll wonder if you’ve found a portal to South Korea without the jet lag.
There's K-pop music on the speakers and Korean shows on the TVs, plus a disco ball and a giant screen showing the streets of Korea - so you really get the full Korean street food experience!
This is not the first honor for Noori Pocha. It was recently ranked No. 2 on the Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Top 10 New Restaurants & Dining Experiences list.
The restaurant is attached to Noori Chicken, which has multiple locations in Michigan and other states. There you will find Korean Chicken, Wings, Fried Rice, Bibimbap (mixed rice and veggies), Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Pork, and more.
Michigan Noori Chicken locations include Clawson, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Shelby Township.
