Grand Rapids Gets Sweeter: Iconic 80+ Year-Old Bakery Opening New Spot This Week
Soon those in Grand Rapids won't have to travel as far to get a longtime bakery's tasty treats! Ryke's Bakery is opening up a new location in GR this week!
It has been a staple in West Michigan for more than 80 years. The Ryke family opened the first location in Muskegon in 1937.

Since then, Ryke's Bakery has expanded to Grand Haven and Holland — and soon to Grand Rapids!
The chain is now owned by Su Hwan Kim and his wife, Joung Suk, along with their three children. The family says they are committed to preserving the bakery’s traditions and maintaining the quality that has made it a household name for decades.
