Western Reserve Brings Steaks and Woodfired Pizza to Muskegon
West Michigan's food scene continues to grow! A new spot serving up steak, woodfired pizza, and more is now open in Muskegon.

Soft Opening Draws Massive Crowd
Currently, The Western Reserve at 350 W. Western Ave. is in its soft opening phase—and it sounds like it's very well-received! The eatery opened its doors over the weekend, serving hundreds of people and selling out of most items. The Western Reserve stayed closed on Sunday to recover and is open again on Monday, June 2.

New Restaurant Opens in Former Muskegon Distillery
The new restaurant is located inside the former 18th Amendments Spirits building. After opening in downtown Muskegon in 2017, the distillery temporarily closed for renovations in 2023, but never reopened. It was put up for sale last year.
According to MLive, Tyler Pavlick and Luis Cuellar bought the one-time distillery this past winter. Initially they'd planned to call it The Western Chophouse but felt that was too formal. Pavlick tells MLive,
We didn’t want it to seem like suit-and-tie, reservation-only type of chophouse.
Western Reserve Menu
In addition to steak and seafood, the menu includes appetizers, wood-fired pizza, and smash burgers.
