Over the weekend we saw a historic run of the River Bank Run, with over 10,000 people running the fastest they can throughout the city streets of Grand Rapids. In fact, two national records were set by runners of this year's race.

this year the winner of this year's men's 25k race, Diego Estrada had a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 9 seconds, breaking the American record for the 25k. Meanwhile, in the women's 25k race, Betsy Saina crossed the finish line at 1 hour, 22 minutes and 31 seconds, also breaking the American record.

But the real stars of the show? A family of ducks that decided to join the race on Ottawa along with the race runners.

The ducks stretched their tiny legs and waddled along with participants for several blocks, giving those watching the race an adorable show.

Sure, we're supposed to be focusing on those who worked hard to run this race, but it's hard not to get distracted by these adorable ducks who joined in on the fun.

Thankfully, a Grand Rapids police officer was nearby to direct them out of traffic safely, before anything bad happened.

There's no word on their finishing time for the race, but sometimes it's not about if you run the entire race. Just like this mama and her babies did on Mother's Day weekend, it's just about showing up, having a good time, and doing your best. After all, winning isn't all it's QUACKED up to be.
