Man Charged With Stalking Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel

I've never understood why a man or woman would stalk someone. I'll admit in the past when a relationship ended I may or may not have done a drive-by to see if they were home but then I thought to myself

"Dude this is creepy as hell" and never did it again.

According to the National Library of Medicine, there is a laundry list of reasons why people stalk other people. Some of those include obsession, fixation, control and power, mental health issues, revenge, and the inability to let it go of something.

I'm not sure what the reason was for this Michigan charged with stalking Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Christopher Dean Baldwin, a 40-year-old resident of Flushing, Michigan, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of stalking Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and her wife, Plymouth City Commissioner Alanna Maguire.

The charges were announced by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, who emphasized the seriousness with which her office views threats against public officials, stating, "This simply will not be tolerated"

On March 4th, Baldwin attended a Plymouth City Commission meeting where Alanna Maguire was present.

The next day on March 5th, Baldwin was found sitting on the front porch of Nessel's family home after ringing the doorbell.

Plymouth police responded to the scene and arrested Baldwin

Christopher Baldwin Arraigned On Stalking Charges

Baldwin was arraigned on March 7 in the 35th District Court before Judge Michael Gerou. He was released on a $100,000 bond, with 10% allowed, and was ordered to wear a GPS tether.

He was also ordered to have no contact with Nessel and Maguire, to abstain from controlled substances and alcohol, and to surrender all firearms.

His pre-trial hearing is scheduled for March 15.
