Have you noticed the ticket booths in the downtown parking ramps and parking lots?

First there were odd scribbles all over them and then slowly some beautiful art work began appearing. The designs are beautiful and creative and seemingly came out of nowhere.

That is until one day last week I noticed a young woman painting a ticket booth in my ramp.

She was actually spray painting. The work was amazing as she brought each booth to life with her gentle touch.

I had a feeling this may have been an early ArtPrize exhibit since the famed Grand Rapids art contest is about to begin in downtown Grand Rapids. But, nope, that is not it. So what is happening?

So that's the explanation of it all. Downtown Grand Rapids and Mobile Grand Rapids thought it would be a great idea to have all of the ticket booths in ramps and lots painted with beautiful, creative artwork rather than the usual drab grey color we always see.
