Recently, Gretchen Whitmer posted a video on Facebook and made a very good case as to why one of Michigan’s major destinations could be the setting of one of HBO’s biggest television shows. I’m HBO Max. There is a show called White Lotus, which takes place in various resorts with every new season and is all centered around the cast's being in these resorts.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer agrees that Mackinac Island would be the ideal setting for a show like that. Do you agree with her, and do you think HBO could actually pull that off? Given that the location in the setting of the show changes, there's nothing keeping them from at least checking it out.

They would just have to deal with the fact that they aren’t allowed to have any vehicles on the island, so that might throw the production off a bit.
