Does anyone else wear contacts and have an insane amount of contact solution lying around? I think I have about four bottles lying around currently, and I don't know why I keep buying them if I know that I already have them.
With that being said, there is a major recall that is affecting thousands here in Michigan, and across the country as well, after a major eye care product just got recalled.

This isn't just contact solution; in fact, nearly two million cartons of eye products that had been sold nationwide are currently being recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The concerns over the recall were initiated after an FDA audit, that is now questioning the sterility of the products currently facing the recall.
The following products are currently under recall right now, so you will want to do a quick once-over of that medicine cabinet.
Products Currently Affected By The Recall
Here is a list of the products currently being recalled by the Food and Drug Administration right now. BRS Analytical Services, LLC, as well as healthcare distributor AvKARE issued the following.
- Artificial Tears Ophthalmic Solution
- Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Gel 1%
- Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Solution
- Lubricant Eye Drop Solution
- Polyvinyl Alcohol Ophthalmic Solution
The products have been sold and distributed from May 26th of 2023, to April 21st of 2025.
This has be classified as a Class II recall, which means that using the product could have negative health impacts for users.
If you have any of the products, you are asked to stop using them and dispose of them properly. You can also return them to your place of purchase for a full refund.
These products were distributed between May 26, 2023, and April 21, 2025. The FDA classified the recall as Class II, indicating that use of the products could potentially lead to temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.
