January through Late February - Cruises

"Wave Season" is apparently a real thing. In January and February, travelers can find the best deals on cruises for the upcoming year. These months are when cruise lines offer the biggest deals for upcoming trips.

February 9th, 2024

If you are planning on traveling anywhere for Easter weekend in 2024, consider February 9th as your cutoff date for the best deals. This date would also be a great cutoff date if you're looking to plan a spring break vacation as well.

Leap Day 2024

Many airlines and travel agencies consider this a bonus day to earn a little extra. That means you should be on the lookout for great deals on only on Leap Day, but also in the days and weeks leading up to it.

April 15th, 2024

Those looking to get out of town for a long Memorial Day weekend should consider booking by April 15th for the best deals.

June 1st, 2024

According to Thrillist, your plans for the Fourth of July 2024, should be set no later than June 1st. I disagree with this one, especially if you are flying. With the Fourth on a Thursday this year, many people will be looking to make this an extended weekend and travel plans should begin now, in my opinion.

August 8th, 2024

Another deadline travelers should try and stick to is August 8th when making travel plans for Labor Day weekend in September. You'll find the best options and prices between one and three months out.

October 31st, 2024

For the best deals on Thanksgiving and Christmas trips this year, it is recommended you have everything booked by the time trick-or-treaters reach your doorstep. Prices will only go up for those holiday trips after that.

Black Friday through Travel Tuesday

As with any year, the days following Thanksgiving are filled with sales and deals for anything and everything. Just keep searching and you're bound to find a great vacation deal on these days.
