Buc-ee's is moving closer and closer to Michigan as the popular convenience store chain just broke ground on a new location that's roughly two hours from Michigan. This new location will be the closest Buc-ee's to Michigan.

Earlier this month, Buc-ee's officially broke ground on its first Ohio location. I know what you're thinking, who cares about an Ohio location? Well, if you've ever been to Buc-ee's, you know it’s not just a gas station—it’s a freaking experience. From their killer food to their famous clean bathrooms, Buc-ee's is a destination in itself. Plus, this will be the closest location to Michigan, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area waiting to check it out.

The new location will be in Huber Heights, Ohio, which is roughly a little over two hours from the Michigan border along I-75. That's no problem for Buc-ee's fans.

According to WLWT, construction is expected to take 18 months, meaning it should open by the end of 2025.

Kimberly Queener, who lives in the area, shared some photos of the early construction project and shared them with the Buc-ee's lovers USA group on Facebook. It's just a Buc-ee's fan page, but it has over 40,000 followers. People just love Buc-ee's.

As of now, the closest Buc-ee's to Michigan is in Richmond, Kentucky. That drive takes roughly 6 and a half hours from Genesee County or a little over 5 hours from the Michigan border. So, this new location will be significantly closer. I think it's only a matter of time before we have one along I-75 somewhere in Michigan.
