It seems one Michigan school is having a tough time keeping an eye on its students, at least if you ask one frustrated mom.

A Wayne County mother says she has had enough with the staff at Bentley Elementary School in Canton after they lost track of her daughter with special needs not once, not twice, but three different times. How is that even possible?

Crystal Clark says her seven-year-old daughter, Audrina, slipped away from Bentley Elementary this week and was later found in the woods by the playground. She told FOX 2 she was in an absolute panic when the school called asking if Audrina’s tracker was on. It was, but the staff never put her coat on, so the tracker was useless.

Having a tracker is a great idea, but if no one makes sure she’s wearing it, then it’s pretty much pointless.

By the time Clark got to the school, she learned her daughter had been found safe. While that was great news, that relief did not erase the fear she had endured.

Crystal Clark:

She was found in the woods last year, covered in stuff and soaking wet. She was found in the woods this time, too. I have anxiety like crazy, thinking what if she gets hit by a car or what if someone kidnaps her. There’s just no excuse.

Clark says this is the third time it has happened, and she is demanding change right now.

The Plymouth Canton School District pushed back, saying Audrina never actually left school grounds and was found quickly. Just because she never left the property does not make it any less terrifying for her mom, who has now had to live through this nightmare three different times.
