10-Year-Old in Stolen Car Leads Cops on Wild, I-75 Chase Near Birch Run
A 10-year-old child is being lodged in a juvenile detention center after stealing a car and fleeing police on I-75 in Saginaw County.

A Wild Ride on Southbound I-75
The incident began on Thursday, May 27 when a 10-year-old stole a 2017 Buick Encore from home on Hess Avenue in Buena Vista.
Michigan State Police dispatch in Saginaw County received numerous calls from people calling 911 that a child was driving a vehicle on I-75 southbound. MSP also received a report from OnStar, reporting that a vehicle had been stolen.
Troopers caught up to the vehicle on southbound I-75 near the Birch Run exit and tried to initiate a traffic stop. However, the driver did not stop. OnStar issued a command to disable the vehicle remotely. The vehicle then stopped and hit a guardrail, according to CBS Detroit.
The 10-year-old driver then jumped out of the car and ran but was quickly apprehended by police officers.
10-Year-Old Taken Into Custody
The 10-year-old child was taken into custody and is currently being lodged at the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center.
No detail's on the identity of the child are available at this time. No one was injured in the incident.
