Yours to Buy: Groovy $5.5 Million Real Life Brady Bunch House
Here's a story...not of a lovely lady, but an iconic piece of television history that can be yours for the taking. The iconic Brady Bunch home just went up for sale, and it's as groovy as you thought it would be.
HGTV is selling the Studio City, California home that was pictured hundreds of times on the famous sitcom that ran for five seasons starting in 1969. The renovation specialist from the popular DIY network purchased the home for $3.5 million in 2018 and has added $1.9 million in renovations to make it a livable time capsule.
During the show's run, the exterior was the only real look of the home to be featured, but now the inside matches, exactly we should say, the interior that was a footprint of the style of the times back then. Trust us, you must love those gold and green tones to dig this one.
Inside you will find things just as the Brady family left them. That classic staircase, those bright orange Formica kitchen counters, even Greg's groovy attic bedroom. The mid-century home has soaring ceilings, big windows, and sliding glass doors throughout the 5000+ square feet of living space that includes 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
According to reports, HGTV says they plan to donate a portion of the sale's proceeds to Turn Up! Fight Hunger which is an initiative through No Kid Hungry to fund up to 250,000 meals for children living with hunger.
