Signs of Infections in Animals:
Pet owners are urged to keep an eye on their pets for signs of infection, including lethargy, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, fever, or vomiting.
Humans who hand potentially infected dog treats should be aware of Salmonella exposure as well. In humans, the symptoms can be similar to those listed above as well as abdominal cramping and nausea.
Other Important Recalls:
This recall comes just days after 167,000 pounds of ground beef were recalled from a Michigan packing plant due to possible E. Coli contamination.
A massive carrot recall was issued earlier this month for organic carrots sold at Target, Kroger, and other major retailers.
