CNN shared that,

"The companies control 27 amusement parks and 15 water parks between them across the US, Canada and Mexico. Six Flags and Cedar Fair operate in different parts of the North America, so a combined company could help them better manage seasonal dips in park attendance."

Besides the iconic Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Fair also owns

  • Knott's Berry Farm in California
  • Schlitterbahn Water Park in Texas, and
  • Canada's Wonderland in Ontario

How Will This Affect Michiganders?

As of right now, we do not know!

Crazy, right?

Click On Detroit shared that,

"It’s unclear what, if anything, would change at local favorites like Cedar Point and Michigan’s Adventure."

Hopefully, there will be no major changes. If anything, a few additions to the amusement park would not hurt.

Cedar Fair says that the combined company will allow management to focus on investments in all of the parks, which will help boost the ever-growing demand.
