
JoJo Girard Joins 98.7 WFGR as Morning Show Host
JoJo Girard has joined 98.7 WFGR as morning show host starting today, Townsquare Media Grand Rapids Operations Manager Tom Cook said.
A Saginaw native, Girard formerly did mornings in San Diego; was morning host on WSNX, Sunny 104, from 1988 to 1994; and spent 18 years in mornings at Mix 106.5 in Baltimore.
Most recently, he was program director in Columbia, Md., for Howard Community College’s online radio station The Dragon.
He is a Central Michigan University graduate.
Girard joins a WFGR on-air broadcast crew that also includes Lauren Bazan, who is mid-day host, and Craig Russell, who hosts “The Afternoon Hustle.”
Bazan started in her current role last month, and started with Townsquare Media last July.
A Grand Valley State Universitygraduate from Allegan, she lives in Grand Rapids.
Russell has been working at WFGR since spring 2010.
A Central Michigan University graduate and Kalamazoo native, he has lived in West Michigan his entire life and started in radio 24 years ago in Battle Creek.
